My Philosophy

Hello, my name is Wyndsor Belcher, but my students like to call me Hokage (leader of the fire-shadow ninjas). I am in my first year of teaching at Baldy Mesa Elementary here in Phelan, California. I began my career in the middle of the 2019-2020 school year as a reading intervention teacher with Kindergarten, then got moved up to 5th grade where I found my stride. Everyday that I come to school, I am hopeful to not only teach these kids how to be succesful in the 21st century in a career, but teach them how to be successfull, respectful, and responsible human beings. I teach to impact the generations to come, and be the positive influence some kids may never see at home. I want to show kids how to be kind, loving, and hard working while lifting up the people that surround us, instead of tearing them down. I believe education and learning is the key to success, whether it is learning how to solve a mathmatical expression to get us onto the surface of mars, or learning how to tie a knot, knowledge is power. I believe we all have an opportunity in this life to be happy and succesfull in our future, and it is up to us to create that future.
